“The centre of the City is where the old monuments are, but not, for the most part, people’s lives....the centre is where you are.” Guido Guidi.

My creative work is inspired by the voices of the people of Wales. My focus has been on the melodic nature, and textures of our native Welsh and Anglo-Welsh dialects, and how they are mirrored in the contours of our landscape, both rural, and urban. This approach can be seen in PARADE, a Finding Maindee commission for Maindee Library; part of the Arts Council of Wales'  Ideas, People, Places initiative.

In the creating of PARADE, I have met and recorded people’s stories, alongside cinematographer and photographer Huw Talfryn Walters, and presented this vérité material in the form of surround-sound installation, and sonic intervention; presenting the truths and realities that emerge from these encounters, in combination with abstract sound and imagery that signify, and symbolize a sense of place, and themes of identity, belonging, and Nationhood.  felt very strongly that the people here be offered a platform to speak.
